General information

DFG provides funds for 7 student assistants per year for the CRC. This number of student assistants has to be matched by the number from KIT funds. The student assistants have to support projects, e.g., through programming and software development. Additionally, student assistants can be also in charge of software dissemination and quality assurance.

Request, recruitment and prolongation

• The PI requests a student assistant in a project at least 2 months before the desired starting date of the new contract by sending an email to the speakers of the CRC 1173, specifying:
  • the activities and tasks of the student assistant in the project,
  • the desired duration of the contract and the necessary monthly hours.
• The duration of the contract should be 6 or more months.
• The decision will be announced to the PI and the office of the CRC.
• The contract drafting will be drawn up by the CRC office (Sonja Becker).
